Values

ATMOSPHERE OF ACCEPTANCE (Romans 15:7)

Rom 15:7  So reach out and welcome one another to God’s glory. Jesus did it; now you do it! (MSG)

FAMILY CONNECTION GROUPS (Acts 5:42)

Acts 5:42  Every day they were in the Temple and homes, teaching and preaching Christ Jesus, not letting up for a minute. (MSG)

AUTHENTIC LEADERSHIP (Hebrews 13:7)

Heb 13:7  Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. (MSG)

MEMBERS ARE MINISTERS (Romans 12:4-8)

Rom 12:4-8  Our bodies have many parts, but these parts don’t all do the same thing. In the same way, even though we are many individuals, Christ makes us one body and individuals who are connected to each other. God in his kindness gave each of us different gifts. If your gift is speaking God’s word, make sure what you say agrees with the Christian faith. If your gift is serving, then devote yourself to serving. If it is teaching, devote yourself to teaching. If it is encouraging others, devote yourself to giving encouragement. If it is sharing, be generous. If it is leadership, lead enthusiastically. If it is helping people in need, help them cheerfully.

IGNITED BY PURPOSE (Matt. 22:36-40 & 28:19-20)

Mat 22:36-40  “Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in Moses’ Teachings?” Jesus answered him, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ All of Moses’ Teachings and the Prophets depend on these two commandments.” (GW)

Mat 28:19-20  Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.” (MSG)

LIFE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS (Ephesians 4:13-15 [Ph])

Eph 4:12-14  Their purpose is to prepare God’s people, to serve, and to build up the body of Christ. This is to continue until all of us are united in our faith and in our knowledge about God’s Son, until we become mature, until we measure up to Christ, who is the standard.  Then we will no longer be little children, tossed and carried about by all kinds of teachings that change like the wind. We will no longer be influenced by people who use cunning and clever strategies to lead us astray. (GW)

YIELDING TO CHANGE (James 1:22)

Jas 1:22  Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! (MSG)
